UNIT 2 - Use the genre approach to teach English: Taught holistically with Unit 3, this unit provides an in-depth exploration into the functional nature of English language use. It equips you with the analytical skills required to understand and evaluate the structural and linguistic features of texts across different genres so that you can learn foundational components for effective English language instruction.
UNIT 3 - Teach English grammar: Teamed up with Unit 2, this unit helps to develop your knowledge of English grammar, so you can be a competent and effective English teacher. Upgrading TESOL Qualifications

If you complete our Certificate IV in TESOL, then you can choose to upgrade to the Diploma of TESOL in the future and get direct credit for the core units of the course.
This process would involve you getting recognition for the learning you have completed during the Certificate IV and would reduce the amount of work and cost to complete the Diploma of TESOL. The Diploma of TESOL builds on what you will have learnt in the Certificate IV in TESOL and goes into more depth in some areas such as TESOL methodology and assessing ESL learning.
