Standard Extension fees Students within Australia or Online / Distance: Why is there an extension fee?
When your enrolment is active with us, it's like occupying a seat in a classroom. There are costs associated with having active students, including:
It's important to note that in some cases, we may waive or reduce the fees for students facing exceptional circumstances that prevent them from completing their studies on time.

Study Loads & Timeframes:
You can only remain as a full-time student until the part-time duration is reached. For example if you are a Cert IV student, then you can only remain in full-time study for a maximum of 18 months from your start of study date. Course durations for all levels can be found on the timeframes page. If you are extending beyond the part-time duration, then an extension fee is applicable. Centrelink recipients - please note:
If you are receiving Centrelink study benefits, then changing to part-time might affect your eligibility to continue receiving those benefits. You may wish to stay as a full-time student, but extend your enrolment period (please note the maximum full-time enrolment periods above). If you are concerned about how your payments may be affected, we recommend you contact Centrelink to discuss your situation. It is your responsibility to inform Centrelink of any changes to your enrolment. PLEASE NOTE: This form may take a moment to submit if you have uploaded a large file. |
