The practicum can be completed in one of the following ways:

Option 1: Local placement in the Philippines where available, at no extra cost (placement conditions apply, contact us for more information).

Option 2: LTi-organised placement. This may involve travel to another country, for example Vietnam, or an approved alternative arranged by LTi. 
LTi placement fee: PHP 10,000
Travel and accommodation: paid by the student if travel is required

Entry Requirements 

It is important that you have an good level of written and spoken English skills. This is not only so that you have the ability to complete the course, but also so that you can be a successful English as a Second Language teacher.

​When you enrol, we will ask that you to participate in an Entry Skills Test. The test will involve a multiple choice quiz designed to evaluate your readiness for the study by assessing key skills in language proficiency, digital literacy, numeracy, and cognitive reasoning. Most people who passed Year 12 (senior secondary school) will be able to achieve a pass result in the Entry Skills Test.

​In addition to the Entry Skills Test, ​you must also provide evidence achievement of an IELTS 6.0 or equivalent on an English test or university level studies in English. 

If you are unable to provide existing evidence of English proficiency, then you can complete free English proficiency testing online at https://www.efset.org/4-skill/. Please note that the test takes approximately 90 minutes to assess your English speaking, writing, listening and reading skills. The test can only be attempted once and must be completed in one sitting. Upon completing the test, you will receive a digital certificate with your results, which can be uploaded as your English proficiency evidence.

The TESOL Course is an online course and you will need a computer or device with internet access in order to complete it.
