Is TESOL Recognised Internationally?
There is no body that is established to recognise TESOL qualifications worldwide, however international recognition is given to the accreditation structures of individual countries. Therefore, when you receive a qualification that is recognised by the Australian Government, other countries acknowledge that the qualification meets the industry and educational standards of that country.
LTi's Certificate IV in TESOL is accredited by the Australian Government and LTi is an Australian Government Registered Training Provider. Other countries recognise the standard of the Australian Government and therefore the LTi Certificate IV in TESOL has International Recognition. Students who have completed the LTi Certificate IV in TESOL have been able to teach in many countries around the world. The LTi Certificate IV in TESOL is taught at a standard that is at least as high or higher than other Internationally recognised TESOL Certificates.
So the real way to check if a course will be recognised internationally is to make sure that it is an accredited course and is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
