MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The entry requirments for the Certificate IV in TESOL is that the participant must have a sound level of ability (year 12 English or equivalent) in written and spoken English language usage. One of the following examples of evidence of English proficiency must be provided prior to enrolment in the course:

• High School report results from year 12 level English
• Written documents you have produced
• Evidence of having completed studies at a tertiary level in English
• Endorsements from a supervisor in your workplace
• A result from an endorsed test of English proficiency (eg An IELTS score of 5.5, or 6.0 if the IELTS score is the ONLY indicator of ability)
• Your resume
• Communication in an interview (as evidence of spoken English ability)
• Any other evidence of good written and spoken English Language ability
