through your studies.

Generally
Cluster Support Groups are created by a group of 4 or more friends,
colleagues, family members, etc. who want to study the Certificate
IV in TESOL together. If you have a group and would like to speak
to LTI about how a cluster support group works, please contact
us.
You'll get all the same great perks of doing the course via Distance Education plus approximately 20 hours of face to face support with a Group Facilitator. For example10 sessions of 2 hours once a week or 5 intensive days.
Self directed study is required.

To qualify for the Certificate IV in
TESOL you will complete 12 core
(compulsory) units, and 2 elective
units (chosen from a selection of 11 electives).
You will also complete some practice teaching. You will spend
about 20 hours in an ESL classroom, observing an experienced
teacher and teaching your own lessons. You will prepare and deliver
lessons in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, spelling
and pronunciation.
Your enrolment in any format is valid for 12 months from your start of study date.
Assessment for all formats is all
based around your practice teaching. Your prac supervisor will
observe your teaching, give feedback and complete assessment
reports on your performance. You will submit your lesson plans, a
copy of any materials used, your self-evaluation and prac
supervisor's reports to your facilitator.
Completion of the Course in any format is dependent on you
demonstrating competency in the Prac Teaching component of the
Course.
You will be given multiple opportunities to "pass" the Course and will be provided with support, encouragement and guidance as you progress through the Assessment process.
